Executive Functioning Coaching

What is Executive Function Coaching? Who benefits from this type of support?

Struggling to maintain a routine? Do you feel like you’re always losing things? Is it hard to sit still and accomplish one task? If this sounds like you or your student, I would love to support them with Executive Functioning Coaching. In EF Coaching, students receive support with planning, organizing, focusing, and working memory. While many students have ADHD, anyone can benefit from this type of coaching. Together, we will develop systems and tools to help the student manage their life independently and effectively.

Think of your life and skillset like a ship. Even the most amazing ship, equipped with supplies, fuel, and billowing sails must have an effective captain to navigate the high seas. Similarly, as individuals we can have the intelligence, education, and resources to do what we want, but without a plan, we may not reach our goals. If you would like support reaching your goals, or are tired of life feeling like you are consistently up against the waves, EF Coaching may be a great fit for you. Through this work, you can get back on track and become the captain of your own life!

Areas we might tackle include…

These goals are scaffolded & tailored to match the life stage and specific needs of the client!

Logistics & What to Expect…

Effective coaching typically has five stages:

  1. Assessment

  2. Education

  3. Goal-Setting

  4. Implementation

  5. Maintenance

These stages can be repeated for as many goals as you would like to accomplish. Within our work together, you will try many different strategies and tools to identify what works best for you. From my perspective, the best coaches are not the ones who give you the “right” tool on the first try, but those who stick with you as you explore which options are helping you be most successful. As individuals, we are always going through new seasons. A great coach will support you in updating your systems to make sure they align with where you are heading.
